Philippe Starck is passionate about motorcycles. He collaborated with the biggest brands, including Voxan and Aprilia with whom he’s designed the legendary 6.5 Moto in 1996.
With its bold modern design, this little Honda belongs to the famous designer. It has been restored and has a mileage of 11,831 km. The Honda France manufacturer plate is present but the frame number was not reported. The Japanese manufacturer is renowned for its four-stroke engines and the single-cylinder engine of the XL 250 Motorsport (a model built between 1972 and 1974) largely meets this requirement with its four valves, a first for a mass-produced motorcycle. In addition to offering greater user-friendliness than its rival, this motorcycle has very comprehensive equipment which include a dual seat, separate speedometer and rev counter and full lighting. As a well-born model and sometimes nicknamed “the grey”, it had many variations before disappearing from the catalogue in 1987: its 15-year career says it all when it comes to its success. This particular example has both the advantages of being in beautiful condition and also coming from a prestigious provenance, the collection of one of the greatest international designers; a true enthusiast of two wheels.
Please note that the car is sold without the French technical inspection.
