A pioneer in several specialities, Artcurial organised the first Aeronautics sale in 2008. As a result, the firm regularly holds sales in this speciality and has become a reference for aviation enthusiasts and collectors.
Under the leadership of Sophie Peyrache since 2013, the department offers a selection of pieces from the early days of aeronautics to the supersonic age.
Benefiting from an exceptional exhibition space at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault and always ready to take up challenges, Artcurial has in recent years welcomed a Mirage V, sold for €102,453, a Fouga Magister, sold for €88,521, as well as a scale model of a Spitfire, sold for €36,400.
The auction sessions also draw on current aeronautical events, celebrating, for example, the centenary of Dassault Aviation in 2016, or paying tribute in 2017 to the 90th anniversary of Charles Lindbergh’s Atlantic crossing by presenting the cap worn by the aviator during the crossing, which sold for €35,100.
Artcurial’s specialists are at your disposal for free and confidential valuations of your objects related to aeronautics.
