It's often said that a motorbike is all about the engine, and the Laverda 750 S was no exception. First introduced in a 650 cc version in the late 60s, it featured a distinctive, forward-tilting ACT twin-cylinder engine, and although the brakes were a little light at first, Laverda remedied this on the 750 SF ('Super Freni'), ditching the Grimeca in favour of brake drums produced in-house. As a result, the 750 SF has become a classic of the genre, with several thousand sold. Laverda then derived a competition version, the 750 SFC (for 'Competizione') which, initially used exclusively (and successfully!) by the factory, was then gradually brought to market. By 1977, only 549 had been produced.

The Laverda in the Panini collection is one of these very rare authentic SFCs and, as such, is listed in the Registro Storico SFC. Beautifully restored by a specialist workshop and unregistered, this is a rare opportunity to acquire one of the rarest and most sought-after Laverdas in existence, which will be given a starring role at historic circuit gatherings.
