The first batch of Goldwing KO appeared at the 1975 Paris show when Honda had decided to compete against BMW and Moto Guzzi on the grand touring segment. Since the CB750 in 1969, no other bikes had ever presented so much novelties. Its flat four cylinder engine, inspired from the automobile, with the timing animated by toothed belt, produces 84 hp. The transmission calls upon a cardan and the gas tank is underneath the seat to lower the center of gravity.
The bike presented here is a second-hand model with only 9332 original km. This is the very first model of the legendary Goldwing, exceptional, entirely original, never repainted, in its Candy Antares Res Special R6CS colour - even the matt black exhaust pipe has not been repainted. The timing belt was replaced around ten years ago and will have to be replaced again, however the battery and fuel tap are new and only a strong crankcase guard has been fitted. Manuals, a tool kit, and three sets of original keys will be supplied with the bike. An opportunity that is not to be missed by fans of the Tokyo brand.
The motorcycle belongs to an associate of the auction house.
