Paul-Émile B bought this pretty scooter at Montevideo in 2002 and it is in particularly well preserved condition from an older restoration. It is complete with its body trim, metric speedometer reading up to 120kph and lighting, including indicators at the end of the handlebars. It is fitted with a 150cc two-stroke single-cylinder engine driving through a three-speed gearbox, swing-arm front and rear suspension and an electric starter.

Built from 1962–1964, the Heinkel 150 sold in smaller numbers than its sister model, the ‘Tourist’, but some 7000 units were nonetheless produced, which speaks volumes about the handling and reliability of these German scooters. With its gleaming paintwork and attractive finish which pays tribute to the company's background in aviation, it cannot fail to appeal to enthusiasts. Like the Simson moped, it served as a classy liaison bike for several editions of Le Mans Classic.

Please note that contrary to what is indicated in the catalogue, the scooter has a French title, that the frame number is 704166 and not 110843 and that the model year is 1958 and not 1963.
