This Renault Floride was purchased by Andre Trigano when it was just in parts, its previous owner having started its restoration. The car was complete, except for the serial number plates which were lost (they are not riveted on this model), while the serial number stamped on the flooring had disappeared when it was restored. However, the bodywork number (different from the chassis number) stamped in the rear compartment is still present: 10564. The 1977 registration document provided during the transaction and still included in the file states the serial number 67008 and it was first registered in 1961. However, Renault's archives department told us that serial number 67008 corresponded to a Dauphine 1093. The Trigano museum team carried out a major restoration, which included a new paint, the black skai seats were kept but the door panels and rear compartment trim were restored in blue skai.
Body seals have been replaced. The engine (of which the 670-05 block is faithful to the original one) has been checked and restored; the running gear was also restored. Rims are fitted with 5 new tyres and adorned with optional wheel covers. The hard top was repainted in dark red and elegantly enhances the design of the car. However, the hood mechanism is actually missing. The dashboard is complemented with a Sonotor car radio. Completed at the end of 2023, the car passed a technical inspection on the 30th October 2023. Elegant and having benefited from a lot of work, this Floride deserves the attention of enthusiasts.
Please note all vehicles in this collection have barely been used in recent years, they are therefore sold as is, with no technical inspection; They will also need a major service before getting back on the road.
Please note that the serial number mentionned on the title is from a Dauphine 1093.
