This superb Fiat 850 Coupé is from the second series, introduced for the 1969 model year, and can be easily recognised by its sporty front panel with quad headlamps, and is fitted with the lively 903 cc engine producing 52 bhp. It was bought new by a piano teacher from the Pas-de-Calais, and she registered it on 14 April 1971, after it had been registered by the Fiat dealer in the Nord for two months. The car was used with care, always parked in the dry and kept for 46 years before its current owner bought it. In exceptional original condition, it has been repainted in the past, but the rest of the car is original. The body is sound and finished in its original and elegant sky blue, with black vinyl upholstery. In 2023, the clutch mechanism was replaced at the same time as the rear sealing ring for the crankshaft, and in 2023/24, the ignition, carburettor and braking system were overhauled. We also noted that the tyres were in near-new condition and that the little coupé ran wonderfully. It is extremely rare to find such a well-preserved example, which even still has its plastic bonnet flaps for use in cold weather. Once you have driven it and been surprised at how lively it is, you will not want to leave this car, which is a success in so many ways.
