As the original Italian registration document in its history file confirms, this charming Fiat 500 was registered new in March 1971 in the region of Caserta, in southern Italy. It spent most of its life there, as it was only imported into France in 2017. It underwent a complete, high-quality restoration and the bodywork was sandblasted before being painted in the very fetching shade of orange (ref. 255), together with a most attractive turquoise blue leatherette interior. All the body seals were replaced, and the engine, running gear and electrical system overhauled. A smaller-diameter aftermarket wood-rimmed steering wheel was fitted, along with rear seat belts. Its current owner bought the car in October 2019 and has since driven it just over 5,000 km, while keeping it regularly maintained. In excellent running order, carefully restored and presented in a combination of colours which radiates la dolce vita, this Fiat 500 will surely continue to bring joy to its passengers and to passers-by alike.
Please note that the car is sold without the French technical inspection.
