- Mileage slightly over 6,000 km
- In the same family for 32 years
- Exceptional original condition
- No reserve
The 2cv6 (especially examples after 1981) is particularly popular for its more powerful engine and its front disc brakes, which makes it easier to use in current traffic conditions.
This particular example is exceptional, as it was kept in the same family for 32 years and has only travelled 6,000 km since leaving the factory. As an engineer at Citroen, its first owner ordered it on 22nd February 1989 and chose to go with the “Meije white” colour for the bodywork and “Chinese grey” fabric colour for the interior.
An unusual option was also selected: separate front seats, as stated in the order form still included in the file. Rarely used and parked in a heated basement, it only had a mileage of 5,618 km in 2001. It was then stationary for 20 years and it was the first owner’s nephew who got it back on the road and got it serviced by Citroën in March 2021, while the car still retained its exceptional original condition with all its specific markings.
The car was purchased at auction the same year by its current owner, an enthusiast of this make. The latter replaced the exhaust and had the rear brakes redone. During our road test, we were impressed with its handling smoothness and its working condition, typical of cars that have barely been driven. Inside, there is also the typical smell of these 2cvs, similar to the ones you just took possession of at the dealership when they just came out! With its unusual colour, this 2cv is an incredible collector item.
