This Hotchkiss-Gregoire was made by coachbuilder Henri Chapron as part of an innovation initiative to reach new markets with this model. Some unique creations were therefore produced, remarkable for the treatment of the windshield in some cases and of the rear end in a systematic manner, while the care given to the finish was typical of the know-how of this great coachbuilder. This model was registered new in 1954 in Paris and was characterised by the shape of its roof complemented with a sunroof and the rear part of its bodywork with a large curved rear window and partly associated with rear wings that were more inclined than the car 7136.

Sold on the 23rd February 1956 to a private individual residing in the 6th district of Paris, the car was finally discovered and purchased on the 28th February 1967 by Pierre Heron, known as the most important collector of this model and more generally, as a collector of major automobile brands and whose collection was auctioned by Artcurial in July 2022. It was on this occasion that Andre Trigano acquired it while the car had been stored for nearly 30 years in a barn.

It then had a major restoration done by the museum team: the bodywork was repainted in an elegant midnight blue, the cloth upholstery was completely restored and the engine was overhauled and checked. Bodywork seals were changed and Michelin whitewall tyres were fitted. This Hotchkiss-Gregoire is an unique prototype and combines the mechanical genius of Albert Gregoire with the expertise of the great Chapron establishment. This is certainly a collector item.

Please note all vehicles in this collection have barely been used in recent years, they are therefore sold as is, with no technical inspection; They will also need a major service before getting back on the road.
