It was in 1968 that Jacques Lameloise bought this superb Lancia Aurelia B24S convertible in Paris, where the car had been registered since 1960. During this period, the young man worked in some of the capital's finest restaurants (Lasserre, Ledoyen, Fouquet's...) before joining the family business in Chagny in Burgundy, where he became the youngest chef to obtain the highest distinction of 3 stars in the Michelin guide, at just 32 years of age! This car has an extraordinary history, not only having accompanied the famous Michelin-starred chef throughout his prestigious career, but also forming the cornerstone of his car collection. He twice took part in the Coupe des Alpes behind the wheel of the car, really getting the most out of the very first Lancia V6 engine. In 2005, the bodywork was completely restored and stripped down, while the engine, which we can't confirm is the original one, underwent a major overhaul just 2 years ago at Epoca Ricambi, at a cost of almost €20,000. The car has only covered 723 km since then! During our visit, we were able to observe that this beautiful cabriolet started from a standing start and that the engine ran very smoothly. Today, the car proudly sports its original 'Pelle Amaranto' red leather interior and its original 'Nero' exterior paintwork, which reveal the effects of time and use. The wooden steering wheel is also original, as is the car radio, which is still in working order. The elegant lines of this B24, designed by Pininfarina, are enhanced by the superb and rare Borrani period accessory wheels. Note that the original wheels with sheet metal hubcaps are available to the new owner from the seller. Incidentally, Roger Vadim drove through the streets of St Tropez in 1956 in a Spyder America version. Legend even has it that Fangio owned one... there's no doubt about it, this car was made for great men! Will you be next?
