Elle a été achetée en 1994 par notre collectionneur, grand connaisseur de la marque puisqu'il était vice-président et secrétaire général du Rolls-Royce Enthousiast Club. En 2002, cette voiture affichait 82 960 km et elle en présente aujourd'hui 95 331 km, ce qui montre une utilisation limitée. La Silver Spur était la version à empattement long de la Silver Spirit, lancée en 1980 pour remplacer la Silver Shadow. Elle reprenait le V8 de 6,75 litres, mais innovait en matière de comportement avec une suspension raffinée techniquement. Elle présentait bien entendu un degré de finition très élevé : ce modèle comporte une sellerie en cuir parchemin avec passepoils bleus, qui nécessite un nettoyage mais se présente en bel état, ainsi que des tablettes rabattables en bois vernis au dos des sièges avant et des repose-pieds pour les occupants arrière. La sur-moquette sera à remplacer et la voiture fonctionne, mais une révision générale sera nécessaire avant de reprendre la route. Cette voiture de luxe est accompagnée d'une pochette contenant les manuels qui étaient confiés au premier acheteur. Elle illustre de façon exemplaire le savoir-faire d'une des marques les plus prestigieuses du monde. The Silver Spur was the long-wheelbase version of the Silver Spirit, launched in 1980, to replace the Silver Shadow. Though featuring the classic 6.75-liter V8, the car innovated in terms of dynamic behavior, with a technically refined suspension. It had, of course, a very high degree of finish: this model has parchment leather upholstery with blue piping, which requires cleaning, but is presented in good condition, as well as folding tables with varnished wood veneer at the back of the front seats, plus foot rests for rear occupants. The carpet needs to be replaced, and the car works, but a general service will be needed before the car gets on to the road again. This luxury car comes accompanied by a pouch containing the manuals that were given to the first owner.
