- Iconic brand
- Beautiful little French motorcycle
- Ideal for entering the world of classic motorcycles
- No reserve
Formed in 1912, the partnership between Marcel Koeler and Rene Escoffier gave birth to the brand bearing their name. From the 1920s under the leadership of Raymond Guiguet, Koehler-Escoffier motorcycles were known for their advanced technology and excellent results in competition, even in records with a spectacular 1,000cc twin-cylinder model. Financial difficulties led to its purchase in 1929 by Monet-Goyon, followed by the production of more modest machines, sometimes distributed under both brands.
This particular Type K is one of them. Equivalent to the Monet-Goyon S6V, it is fitted with a 122 cc two-stroke Villiers engine, fed by a Gurtner carburettor, a parallelogram fork and a rigid frame. It also carries a frame plate of the S6VU type. It was discovered in Languedoc where it was used as a decorative item in a nightclub, before being restored by our collector a few years ago. The electrical system remains to be completed, with a coil to be installed, delivered with the motorcycle. A lovely little machine, ideal for entering the world of classic motorcycles.
Please note that the estimate is 800 / 1200€ - Without reserve price, contrary to what is indicated on the paper catalogue, and not 8 000 / 12 000€.
