The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet showrooms in September 1966 as a 1967 model and was built on an all-new rear-wheel drive platform. It was available as a pillarless coupé or as a convertible, with a choice of inline six or V8 engines. The first-generation Camaro was built until the 1969 model year.
This 1967 model-year car left the factory in Los Angeles equipped with an inline six, finished in this magnificent shade of Tahoe Turquoise. Equipped with the desirable RS package, which included the famous hidden headlights with retractable covers, it lacked only a V8 engine to transform it into a proper muscle car. The V8 fitted to it today was supplied by the renowned engine builder Watson Ruppel Performance: fed by Edelbrock carburettors and mated to a manual gearbox, it delivers impressive torque. Some ten years ago, the car was given a fresh coat of paint, the hood was replaced and the interior reupholstered in black vinyl with a very attractive houndstooth pattern. An American convertible with a powerful V8, it offers all the thrills of driving to take you back to the heyday of muscle cars!
