This convertible is one of five Mercedes W129s in the collection, the owner being a great fan of this model. It looks spectacular thanks to the flared wings and 18-inch AMG wheels, combined with blue paintwork that beautifully matches the lines of the bodywork. It benefits from a number of attractive original options, including the "Azuritblau" colour, blue leather upholstery, electrically heated seats with memory function, rear seats, four speakers, headlamp washers, "AMG-Optik-Paket" code 772 with spoiler, side and rear skirts in the colour of the car, "AMG-Technik Paket" code 957. The car comes with 4 options linked to its AMG preparation. The interior is superb, enhanced with some dark wood trim, while the dashboard is equipped with a Mercedes CD radio and AMG meters featuring a banked background. A windscreen can be deployed behind the seats to provide protection against turbulence, or it can be stowed in a special compartment in the boot. The engine compartment is very clean and, inside the impeccable boot, the spare wheel looks as if it has never been used.

Purchased by our collector in May 2013, it had clocked up 89,341 km and had made its way from Japan, the country most fond of AMG series> It had been exported there in 1998 and had obviously been very well cared for. With 97,126 km on the clock, and having been recently serviced by the owner's mechanic, it is accompanied by a file of invoices and an old German title deed under the name 'SL 60 AMG': while the model was originally marketed as a 500 SL modified by AMG, from 1991 -following the merger with Mercedes - it took on the name SL 60 AMG. In France the car has been registered as a 500 SL. This magnificent vehicle is one of the finest examples out there.
