The Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen boasts an impressive longevity and a successful career. It began its journey in 1975 in a military version, when it was hailed for its robustness, performance and reliability. That was all it took for the civilian version to be presented 4 years later at the Circuit du Paul Ricard. Its success was immediate, and it quickly became a pop culture icon and a symbol of success.
Equipped with a powerful 296 bhp V8, this model rolled off the production line on October 29th 2003, destined for the German market. The triple black configuration is elegant, with Obsidian Black metallic paint to match the electric soft top and leather-trimmed interior. There's a wealth of equipment on offer, including the exclusive package, heated seats, illuminated brushed aluminium door sills, chrome radiator grille and spare wheel cover, all of which add to the vehicle's luxury feel. However, the G-Wagen's adventurous side has not been overlooked either, with the tow-bar, running boards and mud flaps. The twin AMG side tailpipes release the throaty sound of the V8. It returned to France in 2014, prior to being acquired by its current owner in 2022, who was keen to traverse the wooded roads of the Sologne region. It is in very good condition, underlining the care taken by its previous owners. It has less than 130,000 km on the meter and will be serviced at a Mercedes dealership prior to sale.
The G500 cabriolet is the must-have leisure vehicle, at home in any environment: off-road, in the city, on the beach or parked outside the most prestigious hotels and restaurants.
