The last tranche of works on E1027 in the winter of 2019/20 will be to restore the lower ground floor of
the Villa to its state in the 1930’s. This includes the guest room, where, among others, Le Corbusier stayed with Yvonne, his wife, in 1938 and 1939, and where he painted one of his remaining wall-paintings.
The room includes the renovation of many of Eileen Gray’s fixed and mobile furniture, and will be used for
the first time since the 1980’s.
