On Thursday, March 20th, Artcurial will auction the second part of the Jean Bourdel Library (1890-1971), in collaboration with experts Emmanuel Lhermitte and Philippine de Sailly. Preserved by the Bourdel family for nearly a century, this collection is one of the most remarkable 20th-century assemblages dedicated to Gothic prints in French, as well as to poets and writers of the 16th century.
On March 21st, Artcurial will hold an auction in partnership with the Vasarely Foundation, under the patronage of Jean Dominique Senard. Held in Aix-en-Provence at the Foundation, this event will highlight the visionary work of Victor Vasarely as well as those of contemporary artists who are passionate about optical and kinetic art. All the funds raised will be dedicated to the scientific and cultural project of the institution, as well as to the restoration of its monumental works.
On March 26th, during Salon du Dessin, Artcurial will hold an exceptional sale dedicated to Old Master drawings, featuring around forty newly discovered works from prestigious private collections. Among these rare pieces are three remarkable portraits by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, depicting members of the Marcotte d’Argenteuil family, prominent art patrons of the 19th century. The sale will also include a collection of ten drawings that have remained within the family of collector Maurice Gobin to this day.
Artcurial will present a unique collection of historical souvenirs of the First and Second Empires on April 1st. This extraordinary auction will feature more than 370 lots, privileged witnesses of History, dating from the French Revolution to the Paris Commune.
On April 8th, 2025, as part of its Spring Modern Art 1900-1950 sale, Artcurial will highlight the works of two sculptors from the first half of the 20th century: Catalan-born artist Richard Guino and French sculptor René Iché.
