Based on the Red Label model, a sporty version of the Arnage with over 400 bhp, the very exclusive 'Le Mans' limited edition celebrated the brand's return to the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2001. Its distinctive features included 18-inch 5-spoke wheels, a 4-tailpipe exhaust system, air vents on the front wings, red brake callipers, and special badges. On board, sumptuous 2-tone leather upholstery is complemented by racing green dials featuring Le Mans Series logos, and a leather-upholstered gear lever.
The example shown is one of 91 produced in left-hand drive. It was ordered new in "Black Oriole" with beige and green leather interior. The luxurious driver's cab is enhanced by a sunroof, while the rear passenger compartment is made more intimate with tinted windows. In 2019, the upper engine was dismantled, the cylinder heads re-surfaced, and all the upper engine seals and hoses replaced. At the same time, the steering rack and rear spheres were replaced. The work, costing over €12,000, was carried out by the Paris Londres Automobile garage. With just under 91,000 km on the clock, this majestic and extremely rare Bentley has a bright future in any collection.
