- Superb both mechanically and aesthetically

Herbert Hartge, a passionate car and racing enthusiast, started out modifying cars with his brothers Andreas and Rolf. In 1971, he founded his company, Hartge, which specialized in engine enhancements for BMW models. In 1974, Hartge relocated to purpose-built premises in Beckingen. In 1985, the German Ministry of Transport officially recognized Hartge as a car manufacturer.

The Hartge H5 we are presenting underwent complete restoration in 2018 and 2022. The work was carried out in the BMW workshops at the Cholet dealership, with a complete overhaul of the engine, gearbox, and exhaust system, as well as many other details. The ES hydraulic steering unit was also replaced at BMW Angers. The braking system has also been renovated. In short, there are numerous invoices totaling around 15 000€. Here we have a car with the most complete H5 E34 kit, including the following parts: specific Hartge cylinder head and head cover, camshaft, ECU, complete exhaust system (intermediate manifold and 316L stainless steel silencer), 4 x 17-inch wheels, Bilstein shock absorbers, anti-roll bar, body kit (front and rear bumpers and rocker panels, wing and side stripping, radiator grille badge and rear monogram), footrest, steering wheel, pedals, door sill, floor mats, Hartge gear knob, additional pressure gauge, speedometer graduated up to 300 km/h. It is also rare to find one in red. An expert's report describes the vehicle's full history of the company, from the day it was first delivered, on 13 October 1989. This is a rare, very interesting model, the provenance of which is known to us (the same as the Alpina): the previous owner is a BMW derivatives enthusiast, a true connoisseur who truly takes care of his cars - down to the smallest detail.

Please note that the car is sold without the French technical inspection.
