The Austin Healey 3000 Mk III BJ8 began being manufactured at the beginning of 1964. This latest version saw its engine power increased to 148 bhp, while braking, suspension, steering and comfort features were all improved. After producing 1,389 examples, the company adopted a number of modifications, including increased ground clearance, improved rear axle steering, and even thicker front brake discs, with the final version named phase 2. The car on display was imported from California and fully restored by Richard Desurmont, a renowned Healey specialist. This "ice blue" BJ8 with midnight blue upholstery has benefited from the following upgrades: alarm, lowered rear suspension, overdrive control on the gear lever, seatbelts, electric fan, badge bar, long-range headlights... The current owner's father acquired it in 2011, and the car has since benefited from scrupulous maintenance and the refurbishment of numerous components: brakes, running gear, gearbox, clutch...
