As confirmed by its current owner, a talented adventure photographer, the first owner of this Discovery, who was captivated by the epic 1997 'Mongolia' edition of the Camel Trophy, ordered this model with the decorative finishes and most of the specific equipment found in the versions prepared by the 'special vehicles' department, as confirmed by the riveted plate stating that the vehicle left the factory on 10 July 1997. Registered on the 26th of September, it was then bought in Germany in 2008, with 76,000 km on the meter, by a French enthusiast who kept hold of it until 2021, clocking up a further 70,000 km and performing regular maintenance, as evidenced by a file of invoices. With just over 155,000 km on the clock, this exceptional car is in original condition and still has much of its special equipment, with the exception of the protective plates beneath the vehicle and the roll bar that were fitted for the Camel Trophy. With its roof rack strapped with jerrycans, spare wheel, solar panels and water tank, this real adventurer calls to mind one of the last Camel Trophy adventures, and it will carry you to the ends of the earth.
Please note that the car is sold without the French technical inspection.
