CONDITION REPORT :
Gilt-bronze mounts are associated, as stated in the catalogue. Shrinkage cracks to the veneer throughout, due to wood lifting. Losses to the veneer throughout (such as to the bureau's top, to the bureau's front next to the abattant, to the two rear and to the front right handside foot and to the internal area of the left handside foot). One longitudinal split to the left handside of the bureau. The hinges of the abattant are loosened and would need to be refixed. The sliding mechanism allowing the opening of the internal central compartiment is broken and would need to be refixied. Please note that the keys are missing and that the upper right handside drawer and the left handside door are locked.
