CONDITION REPORT :

Fair overall condition. Scratches, marks and chips to the rim of the marble top. Some of the gilt-bronze mounts are associated as stated in the catalogue description such as the ones decorating the far upper area of the uprights and the front feet. Bronzes have been regilt. Fair overall condition (cracks) of the leather writing surface which has been replaced. Traces of gouging, some shrinkage, cracks to the veneer to the front as well as both sides of the secretaire. Few small areas of uplifting to the veneer. Few traces of restorations to the veneer in places by means of replacements. The underneath of the secretaire has been reinforced by means of a strut. Traces of woodworms in places. The inkwell and the lower shelf are missing. Fitted with one key. Charming and elegant model with nice lines with good potential once restored.
