CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable shocks and marks in accordance with age and use. Scratches, marks, and stains on the marble top as well as an accident to its front right-hand side corner. The pierced gallery surrounding the marble top is slightly warped. Wear to the gilding, which is slightly tarnished and rubbed in places. The gilt-bronze mounts at the top of the uprights are missing. The tier door has been restored; it originally opened with a curtain mechanism, now lost. Minor losses and traces of previous restorations to the marquetry. Scratches and ink stains on the fall-front writing surface and its leather. A few traces of ink stains on the veneer framing the leather. Accidents to the external frame of the abattant. Ink stains inside the gradin. The drawers do not close with the fitted keys.
