En acajou et gaïac, dessus en bois peint à l’imitation du marbre, la ceinture ouvrant par un tiroir, les pieds cambrés terminés par des sabots de capridé ; petits accidents, restaurations

An 18th century guaiac and mahogany regional console

 

CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable wears and marks in accordance with age and use. The faux marble painted top is later. Traces of previous restoration to the two front feet. One vertical split to the rear right hand side leg and one to the rear left hand side leg. Some traces of gouging in places. Shocks and losses to the front handles. One of them is loose and would benefit from strengthening. The key is missing.
