La campagne à Paris.
A Louis XVI gilt-bronze mounted, satinwood, kingwood and floral marquetry secretaire a abattant, attributed to Pierre-Harry Mewesen
CONDITION REPORT :
Good overall condition despite the inevitable shocks and marks in accordance with age and use. Scratches and marks to the marble top. Some chips and dents to the external frieze surrounding the marble top. The marble top is associated. Some wears to the associated gilt-bronze mounts which are slightly tarnished in exposed areas, as expected. Few minor tiny losses to the veneer in places (lboth to the left and right hand side area of the secretaire and to the front left hand side foot). Some shrinkage cracks and traces of uplifting to the veneer. Splits to the veneer (to the fall-front panel and to the two lower doors, or to the right hand side lower panel of the secretaire). Elegant model with good potential.
