Provenance :

A Louis XVI style grey lacquered bergere, stamped by Bontemps
CONDITION REPORT :
Good overall condition despite the inevitable minor losses and marks in accordance with age and use. Firm and sound construction. The seatrail has been reinforced by means of seat blocks. Some traces of woodworms in places. Some scattered losses to the grey lacquer in places, such as the exposed areas of the armrests, the feet and the seat back. Some normal tiny chips and losses to the carved areas in places (such as to the internal area of the left hand side armrest). Wears and stains to the upholstery which would benefit from replacement. Elegant model with interesting proportions. Good potential.
