- Famous engine: robust and pleasant to use

At the end of the 1990s, this car was in very well-worn condition before it joined a large collection in Munich as a restoration project. In 1999, this BMW 327 was subject to a complete restoration: bodywork, upholstery, engine and gearbox, nothing was left out, and almost 16 years later, this result presents a beautiful patina, giving the car a unique charm. This car received a rating of "1-" and is estimated at € 160,000 as per the Classic Data report.

About ten years ago, it was sold at auction at Le Mans Classic to a major Italian collector. He then disposed of the car for lack of use and it was acquired by a BMW garage which mainly displayed it in its showroom. Of late, the car has been little used but has a slight patina, proof of the quality of its older restoration.

As beautiful to look at as it is to drive, this car offers impeccable dynamics, and is surprisingly easy to drive for a machine from 1940. Its famous six-cylinder engine, much used later on AC and Bristol cars, demonstrates a real driving pleasure: relatively light, it feels agile and lively.

It comes with an impressive record of invoices, valuation reports, photos of the restoration and notes from the previous owner, all confirming the attention to the work done and the careful use of the car. This BMW 327 is a great opportunity to acquire one of the cars that largely contributed to the brand’s notoriety thanks to its performance, style and Germanic reliability.
