This magnificently restored car was delivered on the 15th May 1962 in “Baliblau” colour with a brown velvet and faux leather interior. It came with options such as antenna, perforated hubcaps, two speakers, a Fiamm “Roadmaster” horn and two bumper horns (not fitted but included with the car).

In the 1990s, this car was fully restored with no cost restrictions by Roock Racing for Mr.Roock’s personal use. It is worth mentioning that this top German racing team, who also happen to be Porsche specialists, has had a brilliant track record including the 1996 FIA GT2 title as well as class victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 24 Hours of Daytona. Nowadays, Roock restores historic racing Porsche cars to the highest standard and faithful to original specifications. Now in black with olive green interior, this car benefited from Roock Racing’s expertise and its excellent condition has been confirmed by three successive German reports in 1999, 2014 and 2018; each time awarding it the highest rating of 1. At some point in its history, the engine was replaced by another one of the correct type, which bears a number within the range and matching the model. Our Bavarian Porsche collector was seduced by the excellent condition of the car after its high-quality restoration and by the beautiful colour of its interior.

With a production of only 107 examples of the Porsche 356 B Carrera 2 GS, this is one of the rarest and most exclusive 356s in the model’s history. Its 2-litre four-cam engine and dual ignition of 130 hp also makes it the most powerful. By honoring these exceptional characteristics, this example will certainly stand out at any Porsche or 1960s sports car gathering.
