This Flaminia GT Touring was supplied new in June 1963 in the Parma area of Italy. Thanks to the documents with the car, we know that it had four Italian owners. It came to France in 2015, when it was sold by a Belgian trader to Mme Nadine Moreau, the wife of Didier Moreau, a mainstay and former president of the French Ferrari Club.

Its current owner acquired the Flaminia at the start of 2023. A knowledgeable enthusiast, he took a keen interest in Italian coupés from the 1960s and 1970s and therefore set his sights on the Lancia. In remarkable condition today, this elegant GT has the advantage of having kept part of its original interior. The car comes with a history of the different mechanical jobs carried out. Its last service was in July 2023 and it has been little used since then: it is therefore now in good running order, although the carburettors will need a tune-up for the car to give of its best.

Still unrecognised, the Flaminia Touring represents the best of Italian expertise from the 1960s. Equipped with a V6 fed by three carburettors, a rear transaxle and disc brakes all round, it is amazingly modern and reassuring to drive for its age. It should be remembered that these cars were sold new at the same price as an Aston Martin DB4, and despite its performance, the English car had a much more traditional design, even though both cars adopted the ‘Superleggera’ method of construction.

With its excellent provenance, this Flaminia represents an opportunity to acquire an extremely refined car from the 1960s able to complete long journeys without compromising on comfort and for a reasonable budget.
