This car is one of our collector's favourites: as he owned an E60 AMG (a model derived from the E 500), he also wanted a rare version of the E 500 and opted for a Limited. The example he found is in remarkable condition, as is often the case with cars from Japan. Initially sold by the Mercedes Passion Car garage in Wietmarschen, Germany, it immediately made the journey to the Land of the Rising Sun and was regularly serviced by the Mercedes dealer in Tokyo. An official document summarises these interventions, which show a steady increase in mileage, for example with 47,000 km in 2006 and 70,100 km in 2014. In August 2015, the car returned to Germany and was purchased by our collector who entrusted it to Mercedes Osnabrück for an overhaul, at 72,000 km. Upon its return to Europe it received a service booklet, and the last service was carried out in December 2022 by the owner's personal mechanic.
It now has just over 73,920 km on the clock, which seems to be the original mileage of this incredibly well-preserved car. Superb in its grey paintwork and with well-aligned windows, this car has clearly been given great care and attention by its owners. With its Alcantara headlining, it features all the characteristics of this limited series, such as the midnight-blue leather seats with specific motifs in the centre, and the 'E 500 Limited' plaque on the dashboard. What's more, it comes with a sunroof, the ultimate in luxury for this rare, powerful and comfortable saloon with its extremely meticulous finish.
