In an unusual move for Ferrari, the 330 GTC coupé is derived from a cabriolet version, the 275 GTS. Introduced in 1964 as a convertible version of the 275 GTB, its lines were completely different from those of the saloon, reflecting a more measured, understated, and altogether more comfortable personality. The 330 GTC coupé presented at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show adopted this same attitude, featuring a design identical to that of the 275 GTS, with the exception of the roof and the front, which was more tapered and reminiscent of the Superamerica. The remarkably well-balanced lines are the work of Pininfarina, which produces the car in its own factory, while Ferrari takes care of the mechanical aspects and final assembly.

This coupé is based on a mechanical architecture similar to that of the 275 GTB (which remains in the catalogue alongside it), with a 4-litre V12 engine developing 300 bhp and a transaxle connected to the engine by means of a push tube. By 1967, the Ferrari range had expanded to include the 275 GTB saloon, the 330 GTC/GTS coupé and cabriolet, and the larger 330 GT 2+2 coupé. In all, fewer than 600 330 GTCs were produced, making it a rare model.

The Ferrari 330 GTC presented here was delivered new in September 1967 to the official Ferrari importer, SAVAF, in Geneva - order number 1045. It comes in Grigio Argento, with black leather interior. As Marcel Massini tells us anecdotally, the car was originally destined for delivery to Ferrari Allegreti in Rome, but the factory relocated. In 1974, it was reported in the Ferrari Owners Club England Magazine as being owned by Bruno Burri, a resident of Bern. It passed into the hands of Ernst and Tuija Hug, still in Bern, who took it to the Club Ferrari Suisse meeting in Nyon. The couple kept hold of it until 2012, when it was acquired by Jean-Pierre Slavic to become part of his sublime Ferrari collection. This brand enthusiast was moved by its 100% Swiss history and its exceptional original condition; the vehicle having never been dismantled. The car is regularly serviced by Ferrari Genève. Its black upholstery is original, with a delicate patina as a result of age, and its 68,300 km are original, as its condition proves. Its carpets have been beautifully restored. Equipped with all its original mechanics, the car has been awarded Ferrari Classiche certification and will be delivered with a folder including the original manuals in the leather case.

The new owner of this car will be able to enjoy a Ferrari 330 GTC in superb original condition, regularly maintained and from one of the finest private Ferrari collections in Switzerland.
