Marc Räder est né à Bochum, en Allemagne, en 1966. Il vit et travaille actuellement à Berlin. Il a étudié le design de communication à l'université Folkwang d'Essen et les beaux-arts au California College of Arts and Crafts d'Oakland, aux États-Unis. Depuis le début des années 90, il expose et publie ses projets dans le monde entier. Son travail a été présenté dans des galeries sélectionnées et fait partie de la collection permanente du MOMA, à New York.
