Artcurial achieves €186.6M in 2024
With a €186.6M result in 2024, Artcurial confirmed its position as Europe's leading auction house for exceptional objects. The Swiss auction house Artcurial Beurret Bailly Widmer contributed €15.5M to this success. Throughout the year, 110 auctions, including 33 Online Only auctions, gathered collectors and art lovers.

Preempted by the Louvre Museum
The year 2024 was marked by historic sales, with 232 works acquired or preempted by museums or public institutions. Among them, the Louvre Museum enriched its collection with The Venus de Milo of Viscount de Marcellus, preempted for €57,728.
Artcurial registered 13 price records and 13 million-euro bids, including:
• €5,1M for the 1958 Ferrari 250 GT Spyder California LWB
• €3,1M for Salvador Dalí’s painting Solitude paranoïaque-critique (1935)

The year 2024 was also marked by the dispersal of 118 private collections. The auction ‘De Gaulle, Legacy of History’ achieved a result of €5.6M, with 100% of lots sold and 135 pre-emptions by French public institutions. During this sale, the LIP Calibre R 27 ‘Patent Pending’ watch, worn by General de Gaulle, fetched €537,920, setting a world record for a LIP watch.
