De conception géniale, avec son moteur transversal avant et ses roues aux quatre coins d'une courte carrosserie, la Mini va acquérir ses lettre de noblesse en remportant le Rallye de Monte Carlo 1965, première d'une très longue série de victoires en de multiples disciplines du sport automobile, tant sur route que sur circuit. Lors de sa longue carrière, la Mini est commercialisée sous diverses formes y compris les fameuses Cooper et Cooper S, très appréciées des amateurs de petites bombes ayant du répondant. En 1991, Rover décide de relancer à nouveau cette automobile de légende avec une Mini Cooper version 1 275 cm3. Le mythe est décidément immortel...

La voiture de la vente, vendue neuve par le garage Boursault à Paris, à été restaurée par les ateliers Foch à Saint Cloud et modifiée avec les extensions d'aile des dernières Coopers S. Elle se présente dans un état proche du neuf, équipée de jantes de 13' et de pneus Yokohama A539, d'un grand toit ouvrant Britax, de vitres teintées et d'une radio CD Kenwood. L'échappement est neuf et elle est munie de son carnet d'entretien et de son manuel de bord.

A brilliant design, with its transverse front-engined set-up and a wheel at each corner on a short body, the Mini earned its reputation by winning the 1965 Monte Carlo Rally, the first of a very long list of victories in different disciplines of the sport, on road and track. Throughout its long career, the Mini has been produced in many different forms including the famous Cooper and Cooper S. It fell out of favour at the start of the 1980s, giving way to the Metro that never managed to achieve the same level of success, however. Then, in 1989, thirty years after it was launched, with a design that hadn't aged a bit, Austin launched two special versions styled on the Cooper. The legend continues...

This particular car was sold new in Paris by garage Boursault and was restored by "les ateliers Foch" in Saint Cloud where the updated the body by adding the fender flares from the last Cooper S model and the 13' inch wheels fitted with Yokohama A539 tires. It is equiped with a large Britax sunroof, tinted windows and a Kenwood CD stereo. The exhaust is new and it comes with its owner's manual and maintenance book.
