CONDITION REPORT :

General minor scratches, dents consistent with age and handling. Minor wear to the surface. One finger from his right hand has been repaired and recast. Few casting flaws mainly to his proper right arm.

Le bronze servant de modèle à cette pièce a été découvert à Pompéi en juin 1862 dans la Casa di Narcisso, Vico del Balcone Pensile. Il est aujourd'hui conservé au Musée archéologique de Naples (inv.5003).
