A Louis XVI gilt-bronze mounted and mahogany table à la tronchin, stamped by Martin Ohneberg
CONDITION REPORT :
Poor overall condition. The veneer is sunfaded throughout. The gilt-mounts are tarnished and rubbed throughout, as expected. Traces of ink stains to the leather which is damaged and scratched. Horizontal splits to the back of the belt’s veneer. The central drawer revealing a writing surface has one vertical split and is missing its inkwell. Traces of old restorations to the rear right handside foot. The right side tray is missing its gilt-bronze knob and is missing veneer. Vertical splits to the back of the writing surface. Charming model with interesting proportions. Great potential, it would need to be restored. Sold as is.
