An English Victorian brass-mounted, rosewood and bois citronnier gueridon

CONDITION REPORT :

Fair overall condition despite the inevitable wears and marks in accordance with age and use. The top is wobbly and would benefit from strengthening. Scratches, marks and two restored splits to the table’s top. Scratches, marks and traces of gouging to the table’s belt. The area underneath the gueridon’s base has been reinforced by means of metal bars. Some scattered shocks and few losses to the veneer to the exposed areas of the gueridon’s belt. Few traces of woodworms in places, not visually distressing.
