An Italian polychrome lacquered filing cabinet, 19th century

CONDITION REPORT :

Good overall condition despite the inevitable chocs and marks in accordance with age and use. The catalogue illustration is accurate. Few vertical splits on both sides of the cabinet. Some cracks and few horizontal splits to the top area of the cabinet and to the drawers decorating the front. Few traces of woodworms in places. One accident to one small section of the plinth (left hand side area). Scattered normal losses to the painted decoration in places, as expected. The plinth is possibly later. Extremely decorative and elegant piece with impressive proportions. To recommend.
