- Replica of a legendary model
- Italian production of the highest quality
- New appearance
- No reserve
The first big twin-cylinder Laverda launched was a 650 cc model in 1968, soon followed by a 750. This well-bred machine continued to evolve, and in 1970 the 750 SF, for 'Super Freni' ('super brakes'), was unveiled. It was to become a classic of the genre and a real commercial success, selling several thousand units. This success was based not only on the intrinsic qualities of the bike, but also on the racing success of the 750 SFC ('Competizione') version. Initially used exclusively by the factory, this 'customer competition' model was then offered in small numbers and, with production only running until 1977, only 549 examples were produced.
In other words, today it is an extremely rare and hard-to-find machine, not to mention the very high price of an authentic version.
Given that it's such a beautiful bike, it's not surprising that some enthusiasts have been tempted to build a replica based on a simple SF.
This is the case with the motorbike we are offering here, purchased in November 2021 from specialist Link Motors, based in Ragusa, Italy. The bike is of the highest quality and fidelity, virtually undetectable as a replica at first glance, with a special double chain, special starting system, double cam front brake, and Borrani rims, as well as an impeccable cosmetic appearance: the fairing, seat, and backrest are faithful to the original, as is the rev counter in the form of a simple on-board instrument.
