- Rare special version by Arturo Magni
- A tremendous aesthetic success
- Very nice presentation
- No reserve
In Italy, engineer Arturo Magni is a veritable legend. After starting off his career in the world of two-wheelers at Gilera, where he worked alongside Pietro Remor on the design of the famous 500 cc four-cylinder engine, he moved on to MV Agusta, where his talents contributed to the manufacturer's numerous world titles, achieved with three- and four-cylinder engines. From 1977 onwards, Magni opened his own workshop, offering special parts for existing models or small series of modified motorbikes. This was the case with the Sfida 1000, which combined a Moto Guzzi twin-cylinder engine with a special chassis featuring a parallelogram rear suspension designed to compensate for the parasitic effects of the universal joint transmission and improve handling. Sfida means 'challenge' in Italian, and the general styling of the bike was reminiscent of the Italian sports and racing bikes of the 1960s. As this was a handmade production, each one was unique.
With its rounded fairing, special aluminium fuel tank, single-seater seat with tapered backrest, spoked rims, and minimalist styling, this Sfida, purchased by our collector in October 2022, combines aesthetic beauty with road performance in keeping with the purest Magni tradition. With 56,600 km on the clock, this is a rare opportunity to treat yourself to a highly exclusive piece, and discerning enthusiasts will not want to miss out.
