A Louis XV style carved walnut bureau plat

CONDITION REPORT:
Fair overall condition. Some accidents and losses to the external moulded frieze surrounding the bureau's plat top. Scratches, marks and tears to the leather writing surface. Part of the leather writing surface is slightly detached from the plateau (front left hand side corner) and could benefit from consolidation. There is one split and gap in between the leather writing surface and the external frame of the bureau's plateau. One split to the right hand side area of the bureau. Few splits and cracks to the front. Some traces of woodworms in places. Traces of gouging on the four sides of the bureau plat. Some black stains (possibly ink) to the left hand side of the bureau. Scattered shocks to the exposed areas of the feet. White stains on the four sides of the bureau. Sold as is.
