Switzerland
In 2023, Artcurial is expanding its business into Switzerland with the acquisition of the Swiss auction house Beurret Bailly Widmer Auktionen, which becomes Artcurial Beurret Bailly Widmer.
Founded in 2011 in Basel by Nicolas Beurret and Emmanuel Bailly, and later joined by Markus Schöb of Galerie Widmer, the auction house is also located in Zurich and St Gallen. It specialises in the sale of primarily modern and contemporary art and is now one of the most renowned auction houses in Switzerland.
Artcurial Beurret Bailly Widmer holds three physical sales and several digital sales each year, notably in parallel with the Art Basel fair.
As part of this merger with Artcurial, the auction house is preparing several development projects over the next two years in Switzerland.

Artcurial expands into Switzerland with the acquisition of Beurret Bailly Widmer Auktionen
After a record year in 2022, Artcurial is pleased to announce that it is expanding its business into Switzerland with the acquisition of the Swiss auction house Beurret Bailly Widmer Auktionen, which becomes Artcurial Beurret Bailly Widmer.
Félix Vallotton, A Swiss private collection
The Swiss auction house Artcurial Beurret Bailly Widmer, exhibited from 21st to 24th February at the Hôtel Marcel Dassault, 11 artworks by the artist Félix Vallotton, from a single collection. This set was auctioned by the Swiss auction house during its Swiss Art and International Art before 1900 sale on 22nd March in Basel.
